Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Casio EX-H10 12Mp Digital Camera with 10X Optical Zoom and 3.0 Inch LCDCustomer Review: My Casio EX-H10 Camera Summary: 5 Stars
I love my Casio. It was easy for me to use because this is my third Casio. My first was the EX-Z40 which is 4 megapixels. The second was the EX-Z1050 which is 10 megapixels. With every upgrade I am amazed at the difference for the better the pictures are. I just have to get used to the wide angle the EX-H10 has and the camera is a little bigger than the first two casios I have. I like the slim cameras because I like to take my camera almost everywhere I go and it's easy for me to just slip it in my purse or in my pocket if I have to. So I was kind of disappointed at first, with the camera being bigger than my first 2 casios. But I have since gotten over the disappointment with the great pictures that I have taken. And the movies are of incredible quality for this size of a camera. Just remember to use the wrist strap every time you use your camera, I dropped my second camera and broke the little gadget that holds the battery in and that's why I ended up buying a third camera. But I sent that one to the Time Machine in California and they did a good job fixing it. I actually bought the Samsung SL820 first, as my third camera and was looking forward to using the low light stabilization that it had because I like to take pictures using natural light. But as I was getting used to this camera and trying out all the features and different settings it suddenly went blank and I wasn't even able to turn the camera off I ended up sending it back. I think this may have happened because I didn't format the memory card first. It's important to format the memory card in your camera before you use the camera and memory card for the first time. I ended up getting the Casio EX-H10 instead. And I am trying to use natural light settings with this camera, but they sometimes come out blurry. But I haven't read the whole manual yet and there are alot of different settings so I know I am missing something here. Also I like to take pictures of food that I make because I am writing a cookbook and I noticed that the macro setting does not come out as clear as my Casio EX-Z1050 did. Again I have to read the manual and find out what I am doing wrong. It may have something to do with the wide angle. Because I notice that my non food pictures actually come out sharper and nice when I zoom in on a subject. The 10x Optical Zoom on this camera is amazing. And I love using the zoom for my pictures. I'm getting used to the 24mm Wide Angle, and at first I was hoping there was a setting to change it to regular size. I think for my uses I could have used the option of changing from 24mm Wide Angle to just normal setting especially for my food pictures. So I wish they would have installed an option to do this. But sometimes the wide angle benefits my food pictures as well. I think it is up to me to learn all the features and settings of this camera and I will be satisfied with all my pictures! The flash is amazing with this camera when I do have to use the flash. The flash on the EZ-Z1050 was the only lousy thing about that camera. And for me prefering to use natural light. I usually take a picture with natural light and then with flash. And alot of times the pictures with flash on the EX-H10 are outstanding. Especially the pictures of food for my cookbook, and that I can't understand because the EX-Z1050 took outstanding natural light pictures of my food. But I really love this camera even though I haven't even read and used all the features yet!
